There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What do you carry/do to deal with Flat Tires while Traveling?

Is there an accepted flat prevention method/product on the market? What do you experienced cross country riders do? I am planning my first cross country trip this year and want to be prepared.

Take a look at the 'Dynaplug' tire plug kit. Very inexpensive. I've used it twice on the bike and once on the car with excellent results. You don't have to prep (ream out) the hole in the tire before installing the plug. Just prep the tool, pull the nail out and push the plug in. Takes about 5 seconds. Different type of plug concept, but the dang thing works as promised. You can find them on Amazon. I carry one along with a compressor in a small case in my saddle bags. Currently ride a 2012 C14 Concours but I've been lurking here for the past 2 years learning about the F3 (tested 3 times) and getting the money together. I've had one knee replaced and the other one probably in a couple of years and the C14 is just getting too dicey to hold up when we both ride. When I get back from a field assignment in a couple of months, I should have the cash (and the wife convinced) to start looking. You have a good bunch of people on this forum like I have on my COG forum. Keep it coming.....

Thanks everyone for the replies. There is some good information here. I didn't even know they made air pumps for motorcycles.

Not a fan of adding stuff to the tire, so I carry a mushroom plug kit which includes air supply. Not to say the other stuff is not good, but years of working with tires and doing my own work, I find changing or repairing a tire with goop in it is... well... unpleasant... :lecturef_smilie:

Lamonstergarage.com just started selling a tire sealant.
If Lamont sells it, then it's a great product.

ULTRA SEAL

Best product I have used on tires is ULTRA SEAL. This is soluble and can be washed out prior to having a permanent repair, unlike some other products the garages over here will not repair.
This has just jogged my memory to order some (have done it now.)

Ps: this also known as puncture safe. Highly recommended.
Cheers, Nasty

I have the Lamonster Air Pack, it amazes me every time I use it. Well worth it, I went around the garage and checked every tire I had, and I still didn't need to charge it. Here's the list of vehicles that I checked and topped off tire pressure on:

1994 Toyota T100
2011 Toyota Corolla
2016 Spyder RT-S
2002 Honda Odessey
2005 Audi S4 with custom wheels

So as you can see it was a wide range of vehicles, I also have ordered 2 of the Air Packs for friends, and I have to get another on order; purely amazing, price, size, function... Hit it out of the park on this one! :spyder2: :spyder2:

I will trust the video and trials that Lamont has done with the Ameraseal product.

I like the fact that it is noncorrosive and from the videos it sure seemed to work well, but who knows, until I see economical and tested by one of our Ryders. Yup, I know he makes money on it, but it is his reputation with this community that will keep him honest.
