• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what do I do with my stock seat

Bar Stool?

Foul weather days, you could still pretend you're on the Spyder, plus for parties guests could double up on the stools easing a potential seating shortage.....Just a thought.

I had the upgraded RSS seat and bought the comfort seat without ever seeing one . I think the only difference is the stitching pattern . My butt still hurts in the same area after about an hour or so .
I am gonna get the ultimate seat , I got to sit on one of those and it is way nicer . Trade in your old seat and they subtract $250 .

The RS seat still costs $480 You pay $250 EXTRA if you order the seat first and then when they get your original seat they subtract the EXTRA $250 they charged you up front.l

Ok...giving up asking these folks who want to get rid of thier stock seats..Can't seem to get an answer..Think I'll just go down to my local upholstery folks and see what they can do....

If they used your seat , I would think they would give you theirs for free or at a huge discount .

Also , a RS owner might want to upgrade to a RSS seat .

Already asked...They still want a $250 charge for ordering a seat without sending them a stock seat...I already sent them my stock seat which they paid me $100 for ....less $30 for shipping..That's one hell of a deal.

If I would have read this yesterday, I would have had a hard time believing a 20 pound seat costs $100 to ship.

I'm a believer now. I shipped out my RT seat last night to Kontour Seat, so they can build me a new one. UPS wanted $166 to ship it. I about lost it. They told me it was because of the size. I managed to get it in a smaller box, but it still cost about $100.

With prices like that, how can the post office be broke? Oh yeah, they are a government run outfit. :yikes:

Yup, cost me 125.00 including the box at UPS store....:dontknow::gaah:

Airfare...

The cost to ship was why, when I bought the extra RT-S seat on eBay ($24.95), I flew down from Harrisburg, PA to Tampa, visited relatives, picked up the seat, and flew it back up as my free baggage allotment. I wrapped it in several large garbage bags, lots of duct tape and even made a duct tape handle to carry it through the airport.

When I got it back, had an "OK - TSA" lable attached...bet they took a long look at it in the x-ray!!!

Just checked Greyhound for shipping a 25 lb package 50"s long valued at 300.00 from Indio, Ca. to Dallas, Texas and the cost would be $60.00. Something anyone shipping a seat may want to consider - especially if it's being shipped to a private party. FWIW

I would keep it in case the New Seat got Vandalized? Or sell it locally on Craigs List for someone who needs a Turn In seat for local pick-up?
