• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do/did you do for a living?

I work in the WORLD'S OLDEST Nuclear facility...It is where the first continuous nuclear reaction was sustained (Google Building 3019 at ORNL)...I do the electronic and physical security there...

What I did for a living

I am a retired naval intelligence officer and DoD Intelligence Specialist...35 years total in support of our glorious nation.

What say you?

I was a millwright for 40 years. loved every minute of it. Most of it was bull work. Paying for it now.
But tomorrow I will get up about 10:30 am, and have my second cup of coffee.

Retired in 2000 from Hewitt Associates, a global human resources firm. In 2003, bought Green Level Kennel in Apex, NC as a family business which my adult daughter, son, and daughter-in-law manage while my husband and I enjoy retirement. Now we're enjoying it even more with our new RT-S. :2thumbs:

I don't look as good as my avatar, either. :roflblack:

And given that Lamont so inconveniently swapped out the site just as I posted my comment :D, my avatar which I referenced went AWOL along with everybody else's. So, now I've reloaded it. For the moment, I'm one of the few who's now lookin' good! :2thumbs:

Thanks for the tip. Now I'm stylin' again, too. :roflblack:
Now if the signatures weren't displayed as white on white, we would be good to go.

I am well and truly retired. I served 28.5 years as a non-com in the Royal Air Force and 19 years in the UK's Civil Service as an Instructional Officer. For most of our lives my wife and I have toured by motorcycle mainly around Europe during our annual holidays aboard a long sucession of BMW bikes.

But not only Europe, we shipped our R1150RT to LA with 19 other bikes in 2001 and began a tour of the Western States of the USA in September, 2 days before the 9-11 outrage at the WTC. Together with a couple we met on that trip we rented a pair of R1150RT's in New Zealand in 2003 and did a 2 week tour of South Island.

In 2009 I had a brain-stem stroke which has left me with a slight balance problem. For that reason two-wheelers are off my menu for the forseeable future but my 2011 Spyder RT is good to go! Life is great and, I'm here to say, a million times better than the alternative!
