• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do/did you do for a living?

Thanks for the wonderful thread Y'all.

I spent 20 years in the USAF working avionics systems on the F-111 and the F-16, retired and currently working for the State Department. Life comes at you fast sometimes, and I'm trying to figure out how to get off this ferris wheel. Perhaps after a second retirement...:D

Also have my own music recording studio mostly recording original music for artist. My wife Susan writes music and sings. You can find her music under Susan Grace Blue Eyed Soul on Itunes. She has 3 CD's there plus a single called Old Pair Of Shoes. Also I love to work with wood and ride.

I've been reading backwards through the General Discussion thread so as to learn everything "Spyder" from all you experienced riders (thanks to you all! Great stuff here!). Came across this thread at about page 47 or so. Fascinating reading. :2thumbs: Always fun to see the wide range of occupations and knowledge.

So, let's bump it up again and see if all those people who were snagged by BRP's TV ads (like me) and have joined Spyder-land since last April come and play.

For the bill-paying job, I am currently a Senior Business Analyst with Nintendo (up until the end of last year, programming in RPG - still - for all you computer nerds out there. Now mostly telling other people how to code and pushing virtual paper around).

For the job that feeds the soul, I am both a writer (three published novels, Asian-themed fantasy genre); and a professional digital artist working in 3D computer media (hence my avatar image). I don't look as good as that guy; we'll just call it artistic license.

Almost had to call my workplace earlier!! Rotten kid next door (duplex--yeah, renters) had a friend over. They were shooting a bb gun or pellet gun at the back of the duplex. There are windows back there! Then they started throwing full bottles of pop off the back porch (he lives in the 2nd floor apt). I called the landlord.... She was NOT happy!!!! Maybe they'll get thrown out.....
