• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do on or to your Spyder today..........

Today I left for work at 0430 for us military folks, of course I took Lightnin' LeeRoy. On the way, had to dodge several deer, but enjoyed the ride.
After work, had a few errands to run, then took the long way home. only added 15 miles to the trip, temp was still 42 F. Looks like snow for several days, so Lightnin' will be parked in the garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow storm tomarrow. Moved the Spyder into my shed to make room in my garage for the Johndeere with the snow plow installed.

Not a thing! It's been broke down since 9/30/2014. It has a SE5 shifting problem. Missed all my fall rides. Maybe I'll get it back by Xmas.

Practice ride

Got out today, on a very nice afternoon, to practice riding this beast (I picked her up yesterday from the dealer). Only rode about 50 miles, but sure enjoyed it. Didn't even need the heated grips!
I started in a parking lot doing some of the recommended drills...got bored and headed for some real curves!
Gotta love retirement! :ohyea:

Sounds like you have the right idea. After about 500 miles you should have Spyder operation down pretty good.

A day late on this, but I changed oil and filters yesterday. I wanted to take a spin afterwords but I have an icy/snowy section on the driveway and would not have been able to get up the hill.

17F this morning was going to ride to the dealer to see what he would give me on a trade for a 14 RT-Limited. BUT that darn driveway:banghead:

brushed snow off the cover

had our 1st snow so i didn't go for a ride, but i brushed the snow off the cover. yesterday i put G9x's on the 2 new helmets they sound good in the living room, just need a clear day for a road test.

Finally got to ride this month. Headed to breakfast this morning. Low 40's, very cloudy and damp. Some of the corners and hills "greasy" areas that had been heavily salted seemed to be sucking up the moisture.
Headed out again after lunch to purchase some christamas gift cards. Good day overall, very cool and cloudy but it was good to get out.

Well... :opps:
I DID put a package of lens cleaning "stuff" in the top trunk this morning... :opps:

(Starting to get ready for the Springtime riding Season! :D)

What did you Do

Weather Forecast called for 50-60 degrees and sun on the Oregon Coast , so off we went for the 160 mile loop to Newport and back to the Valley .
The ride was great and Trina loves to run on the Beach .

From Australia

Well, the new Timeless Black '14 RT SM6 (I call it "Funnelweb" after a deadly black spider that lives in these parts :ani29: :yikes:) now sports a pair of Rivco floorboards complete with heel/toe shifter PLUS the BRP backrest (which, at $583 Australian is outrageous) but I can't ride without a backrest. Polished with Turtlewax Ice and Armourall low sheen protectant to all the flat black areas. Summertime here and will be going on a nice ride to the beach the day after tomorrow.

Replaced the oil dipstick I stupidly cross-threaded. Also bought the service manual and started exploring under the Tupperware. Started making a farkle list.

C'mon Spring!
