• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello, I expect to buy a slightly used SE5 from a private party tomorrow and I need to know what should be included. Two keys, owners manual, what else? Its a 2008 that was sold new in Oct 2008, if that helps. I want to make sure I get everything he did when he took delivery.
Thank you!

When I purchased mine, I got the owners manual, two keys and all of the accessories that were replaced. The stock windshield (I ordered the touring). The fog-lamp mounting brackets. You can ask what accessories he/she ordered. I would alslo check about the B.E.S.T Warranty. It is transferrable if it was purchased

I picked up my Spyder SE5 in Deceber 08. You should get a tool kit, owners manual, and 2 keys. I can't really think of anything else. Maybe someone else will chime in. :congrats:

Thanks for the replies. Its stock, so no accessories. I'll check the tool kit,
key sheaths and warranty paperwork.

I have a SE5 i bought mine Oct 17 it came with two keys the sheaths that hold them and the old rims cause i bought the 6 spoke upgrades and of course the owners manual and toolkit toolkit should have electronic tire guage and a screwdriver with multi-heads and a few other tools and a special wrench for adjusting your shocks kinda looks like a cresent wrench that with the jaws open wide. I think thats about it far as i know :) :congrats: on Purchace of your :spyder: im very sure u will be extremly happy with your decision to purchace it i know i was, and welcome Now get out there and RIDE RIDE RIDE :)

If the price is right, I wouldn't let the lack of an owners manual or the toolkit be a dealbreaker. The owners manual can be viewed and downloaded online and the toolkit could be put together on your own for a few bucks. The toolkit consists of...

a digital tire pressure gauge
speed sensor feeler gauges (min / max)
screwdriver handle with two torx, a phillips and a flat screwdriver bit
two steel nutdrivers with a different size on each end (4 sizes total)
two allen wrenches
spanner wrench for adjusting the front shocks
small felt cloth
vinyl tool pouch

Out of all that stuff, I've only really used the torx bit and screwdriver handle (to remove body panels) and the allen wrenches (oil change). The other stuff, I've used my own screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets or tire gauge. I used the spanner wrench once to adjust the shocks to where I wanted them and they've stayed at that setting and I've never messed with the speed sensors.

I picked up my new yellow SE5 yesterday from mission motor sports in Irvine California. The "stuff" it comes with is properly list in the responses below. The DVD is very informative

Mine came with all the above, plus a years supply of angus Ribeyes, 3 cases of Newcastle Brown Ale, a leather recliner, and a 52 inch LCD flatscreen TV. Dont let em screw ya out of all that stuff!!!!;)

:congrats:

Did you get the 990 or the Special Edition 1000?

Okay, I bought the yellow SE5 with 70 miles on it, and just got home from the hour-long drive. Its zero degrees with the wind chill, ao I'll write up my initial impressions (and newbie questions) after my hands thaw out!
