• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What changes would you like to see?

swimming upstream.

I want a 650 CC single cylinder Spyder.
Based on the ST, but a single ryder vehicle with a shortened wheelbase and high-backed seat.

 Something for the younger Crowd, Maybe 550 Pounds and Great Performance in a Single rider Platform!!!!
But BRP NEVER goes Backwards?

A much better resale value.:( That seems more economy based than any thing though.

I think the Spyder is a pretty sweet ride as it is, but being able to lug it a bit would certainly help when on surface streets or traffic. Then an added 6th gear would make sense:thumbup:

Changes to Spyder

When Harley Davidson added that sixth gear "WOW" mega improvement. The RT passenger foot position needs help. The wife has rode over 10,000 miles with me and foot position for her means everything, just our two cents.

RS models:
A stripped down, faster RS, six speed transmission, V4 powered.
Optional hand brake.
Adjustable handlebars standard equipment.
HIDs standard
Better rear lighting, LEDs standard.

ST models:
heated seat, heated adjustable bars
adjustable handlebars standard
HIDs standard
LEDs standard

RT models:
trailer hitch standard
HIDs
LEDs
Integrated NAV
Microwave

a bigger engine,or a added gear.

I have said it before and have been shot down.

A bigger engine for the RT and possibly an additional gear.

There is always room for improvement in a line as exciting as the :spyder2:.

deffinitelly bigger, much, much more powerful engine is a must, especially for RS - thats the way to expand into young community
we dont need or tend to go rocket riding but need to stay within a frame while having fan on enclosed circuits with Pals on weekends, acceleration and top end has to go way up for young souls, can imagine such a line - R line - RS-R - Roadster Sport Race

:agree::agree:!!!!And maybe a bigger gas tank!

Hey!! A SHORT Tourer! :roflblack:

Send me a copy of that pic in a larger size... I'm gonna tease the Missus with it a bit.

Sometimes it's the little things...

The RT turn signal is just a b**ch to turn off. The RS is fine. Ironically, I finally got to check out the ST, and the signal switch seems to be the same as the RT. Just make it easy to turn that thing off.

A couple of specifics come to mind...
Redesign the rear luggage compartments for more useful space. The top trunk would be much better with a wider opening; something that you could actually stick a full-face helmet into! The saddlebags could be deeper as well...
The bike is over 60" wide up front; a little bit more width out back would hardly be noticed.

You missed the price under $ 10,000 I really meant under $ 10,000. Elio motor 3 wheel mc is only $ 6800 :ohyea:

Shower?

I think you should take the shower off the list. It's just too dangerous. Think about it. If you get shampoo in your eyes you could run over somebody!

Took me a long time to get back to this thread.
I will take two of what he's having, but I want mine with the optional coffee maker and personal masseuse. :roflblack::roflblack:

If that's your idea of Spyder you forgot to include a kennel for your only friend. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I'm really curious about this sixth gear stuff.
Perhaps, as per usual, I'm missing something.

When I get to fifth, and keeping the revs above the magic 4K mark of for my SE then I'm flying down the road at about 60 mph.
So I guess my question is, and please make it simple so I can understand, how would adding another gear make things better?

The quick and easy answer; it wouldn't work!

fuel economy
higher top end
longer life for engine
possibly bigger gaps between service intervals
