• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What can you tell me about this unit on my Rear shock?

What can anyone tell me about this unit, I'm assuming it's rear shock preload (I don't think it's that, as the collar would do that); spring rate; rebound rate? There appears to be two adjustments possible according to the embossed lettering around the nut and screw head, low speed and high speed. Also, it's nitrogen charged according to the label on the end.

It handles great for me now, so I'm not intending to monkey with something that's fine, just curiosity is getting to me. :-)

That's the remote reservoir for the Fox Factory Series 2.0 Podium RC2 Rear Shock. The two settings on it are for adjusting damping, high velocity and low velocity events.

Go to page 13 in this Fox manual to understand the settings. This manual is not specific to the Spyder's shock, but explains the settings nonetheless. https://serenity-foxfactory.asset.akeneo.cloud/fox_asset_family/media/605_00_118_RevD.pdf

p.s.: adjusting the rebound rate also affects the compression damping.

To be clear, the location in the photo (the remote reservoir) is for COMPRESSION damping (BOTH High and Low speed) and the rebound damping is done on the shock body itself.... ;)
