There are no Farkling plans for this "Dark Spell", as I've got to buy tires and a battery during next Season.

We are now getting into nice riding weather with lower humidity. The downside is that attracts all the snowbirds who can be very unpredictable. This is Florida living.

We just ryde! Sorry to those that have to count the moths until they can ryde again!:yes:

NoVA. Occasional snow, but no real "off season". I ride year round, from 10° to 110°.

Since ny wife wont ride in the winter, I will ride the Spyder on particularly iffy days. Otherwise, I ride my BMW R1200GS.

Do you get ice on your roads? Do they put out salt to melt the ice and packed snow?

During the "off riding season"( Oct. to April) I catch up on things that I have not been able to do, and make plans/ and think of places that I want to visit/see.

Make plans for which spyder events that I will attend in 2017. ( 10th Anniversary Homecoming, Spyderquest, riding in Maine etc.).

Also, maybe getting/buying some farkles! Visiting this site!

Spending time with family, friends.

Also 4 more months until next riding season begins!

Fall is crazy nice

Sooooo I am still ryding....altho limited to day rydes cause these high 50 days are soooo not normal. But until that white stuff starts drifting down from above I will be enjoying it on the back of the Red Stallion...
Since it will eventually come I am PREPARED....2017 calendar...maps, maps and more maps. A "most excited" ryde will be Run For the Wall 2017....and then after that north of west then north (decision to be made) to Owner's Homecoming in Valcourt.
Other plans for 2017 is on way to Ontario, CA will stop and get a Russell Day Long built....Red Rock Rally for sure. Local weekend of Spyders...and from there lots of blank dates on the calendar that I will work on filling in with ink.
Yep the planning is sooooo much fun and occupies my non ryde season along with going to watch grandkids and their events.
And always enjoying coffee. Have a found a couple new (fairly local) roasters...so think I will ryde to them and taste their 'beans'....

I'm planning on just ryding locally this winter. I got my Spyder set up so I can plug in heated gear, which I may buy this winter. The first trip I'd do next year is Bayou in March.

Had a very steep driveway, church and daycare that had to be salted and plowed with all sidewalks cleared by 5am[emoji12]

If the roads are clear, I'll be riding, Thermo Suit and decent gloves are good down to around 20 degrees.

Nothing exciting here. Will finish the basement rebuild that I started last winter (was put on hold when riding season started). Due to the great weather we are having it is still riding season here - did 351 miles yesterday hyea:

We will spend some time with our children over the holidays as well.

We also need to plan out our big 3 week trip next year to BRP's homecoming and visit with our son and his family in Boston.

And of course will be hopping for an early Spring.
