Do you realize that one of the sponsors of this site: ISCI Billy... is a devout fan of the Crimson Tide?
Why not delete this post out of respect to one of the people who make all of this possible?
First, no, I did not know that. That said... every week, in every college football game, one team looses. It is a fact. Look it up.
Ohio State can only do one thing - play its games and play to win! Being the 3rd ranked team (4th the week earlier), winning all your games doesn't really help you much if the teams ahead of you keep winning. You need UPSETS to move ahead and in the last several weeks that has happened.
Sadly for Alabama that occurred. On any given day, any team can loose no matter what their record. Listen to the recording from beginning to the end. Do you think the play-by-play announcers thought Auburn was going to return the kick? It was an after thought it could even occur. But it did occur.
Last year, Ohio State was undefeated but had no place to go because of sanctions. Several years ago Ohio State was ranked No. 1 but lost their last regularly scheduled game of the season. Yes it sucks! But I am not going to curl up in a ball and hide because it happens. I suspect ISCI Billy will get over it.
Heck - listen to ESPN: Even undefeated, there are many who think Auburn ought to jump OSU and play in the national championship game. So there we go - at the end of the day it is just a game. Yes, Ohio State fans are glad Auburn beat Alabama. It is the truth. I cannot deny it.
There are many who hope OSU will take a fall this coming weekend - I won't take it personally.
Yes, I looked again, just to make sure I was right - and my observation was correct: In every college football game - one of the teams comes away a loser.
