There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What am I missing about these cheaper Fog Lamps?

Please someone educate me.

=I can't afford the super expensive CanAm fog lamps with harrness.

=Just saw an ad---> rivcoproducts.com, driving lights for $229 + shipping. They bolt to the front wheel brackets.

+they have 55w lamps at Wally World/K-Mart for $20 or less.

Why pay $209 or double that (BMP's) to get the 'high priced spread'? What is the real difference? Am I missing something here? Years ago I installed lamps, radios, tachs on cars all the time without resorting to "factory installed models"

There are several other owners who have mounted driving lights to the a-frame or other sections of the Spyder. It should not be a big deal at all as long as you are comfortable with doing it.

 $18 plus $3 for a better illuminated switch. From Walmart.
I put then in the opening below the opening for the factory fog lights. It's been over two years now, and there still brighter than the stock head lights .:2thumbs:

:2thumbs:Installed Moto Lights and they REALLY light up the highway, Brighter than stock fog lights, A little pricey, but guaranteed for life, even bulbs are free replacements, 10% discount for vetrans or active duty

I think the more research you do the more you will find that there are various lighting alternatives for our Spyders. I personally am not a huge fan of lighting mounts on the A-Arms, but that's just me. Alot of Spyderlovers on this site have come up with very clever solutions. I was fortunate in that 14 came with the OEM fog lights, which work great for me. The RS-S however does not have them so I am weighing my options as well.

Wow, Trickie Dick! Those look good Sir! Did you buy the 12W or the 24W model? Whatever they are showing mounted on the bike there are incredibly bright! :doorag:

If they will fit in the factory fog light bay that would be a great spot.

Yup.. Love mine, and they turn with the wheels.. which isn't too big a deal. Converted mine over to yellow 50 watt which keeps me legal as I already had the factory fogs.

I bought the 24w 3 stage dimming version. As I recall, the 10w version is a single stage light. It a a spot beam. I wanted the flood version as I have the ESI HIDs. If you read the ADVlink I provided, you will see some are using dimmers on the single stage 24w flood as it is very bright; probably too bright for on road use with traffic.
Yes, the light will fit in the fog light bay. I just haven't looked to see how it will attach. As soon as it warms up a little I will get out in the garage and take the tupperware off and figure things out.

Got Fog lights from Wally, work great. Mounted to the sides of the frunk, wired in but not by me. Only thing I changed was I got a waterproof switch at Ace.
Lite up your life, ride safe.

i have the motolights also, 50 watts, free bulb replacement, turns with the wheels, which may help you avoid hitting something if your going slow enough, nice mounting system, most of the state troopers have them on their bikes, nice quality, but $450, ouch!

Have you thought about the Day Runner Pucks from ESI :2thumbs:. I know that they're a different animal. but once installed, they look OEM.

If you're gonna spend $230 + s/h why not just add another $100 and get the OEM ones from eBay? Nothing fits like an OEM part. It's designed for it and it comes with the right wires. No splices no fuses no fuss. Get someting else and you might just regrat it later. Just my 2 cents.

Here you go http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Can-...2556043QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

$329 and free shipping.

PS. $300-$400 accessories should not be considered "super expensive" when the bike cost at least $10 grand or much more. Spyder is a luxury item, not for those who can't afford it.

I choose to spend my money the way I want. It's not of question of "affording it". I just don't see the value of spending twice as much for a product that doesn't do any more than I want or need. BTW, why would you buy a luxury item like this on e-bay:hun: when you can indulge yourself and buy it directly from the dealer.

...because at least on E-Bay you can shop based on price and maybe find it for just a little bit less than the dealer is going to hook you for... (I'm in it for the chase!)

As I was saying before .... just my 2 cents.
