• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what a shame,,, we lost a 19 year old marine in irac

As a Marine - '64 - '67 it irritates me when it is stated 'non combat'. he was in a hostile area serving his country. Therefore to me it is combat related or he would not have been there. That , non combat, was invented during Nam to lessen the body count, KIA's, to make it look somewhat better for the American public. That is BULL***** to me. When our servicemen & women are in Iraq or any other country that is a hostile country, it is a combat area and should be treated as such. OK that all I have to say.

i agree with you bob but i just wanted to let people know we lost a service man and for people to say a prayer or whatever they do to respect this brave person. ever since i was banned for posting political stuff i worry about where posts have a tendency to go so please people lets just remember a marine and nothing else,,, thanks

:agree: a good man was lost... Mourn him, and keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers for now...:pray::pray:

As a Viet Nam vet, I fully agree with this. If a person is killed or wonded in training, they were training for combat. They are all "Combat related". For this Marine, R.I.P. You earned it the hard way, with another tear in the thin line supporting our Freedom.

+1 I watched in AFG how the powers to be would concentrate on the whole "boots on the ground". They would reduce the troop footprint but increase the contractor size to keep the same capabilities.

Its all a statistic game, to show a lower number to the general public that really don't even know. Heck my brother is a teacher and he didn't even know we were still in Iraq and Kuwait. Its just what the media decides to put out based on which side of the isle they work for.

Prayers go out to the family.
