• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What a Ride

This is the first day , with 700 mile logged, that I felt excellent and completely in tune with my Spyder, "Black Widow," and what a day in SoCal. My friend, Joanne with her silver clutch Spyder, and I with the red and black SE5 put on over 100 miles---out to Cook's Corner where hundreds of bikers were gathered over beer and good cheer----then out through the avenue of trees overhanging the O'niel Canyon Road----out San Antonio Parkway------out the Ortega Highway to Hell's Kitchen where others had gathered---all looking and asking about the Spyders----back down from the Cleveland National Forest to Inter state 5----with an 80mph ride to gas and home.------It did everything I asked of it----I'm now in tune with the electric shift---shifting up and down-----What a day ---with 80 degrees and a thrill over every mile.

YEAH!!

I gassed up my craftsman snowblower and blew tons of snow just to get my jeep outta garage!!!:joke:

At least I started my spyder up for a while, 3 more months until I can ride again!!!

Yeah, wasn't the weather out in Cali just GORGEOUS today! It was 70 degrees out for our ride today. It was nice not having to pack on the riding gear to stay warm for a change. Sorry to all you guys stuck out there in snow-ville... I moved out here from Indy for a reason. :)

I'm hoping for no longer than two months until I can get back to everyday Spyder riding.

No printable comment...it wouldn't do any good anyway. We got 15", with a total of 18" for the week. Now we're under a winter storm watch for another round. Relentless is the only civil word I can use to describe this winter. You folks that are getting in some riding are sooo lucky! Way to go Sara!

I got to put in about 170 miles today just fooling around. Rode the twisties to Lake Berryessa (Northern California). The morning was real windy but it slowed after lunch. Had a great ride. Sorry to all you folks stuck in the snow. It makes a great picture but it is hard to ride in.

Sounds like the whole of Calif. is seeing the same weather. Got in a good 100+ up in the San Diego mts. A little windy but no snow.

Hey Scotty,
Do you own any of BRP's other modes of transportation?
The company that i work for is headquartered out of Grand Rapids. there is a bunch of the guys that i work with that can't wait until the snow starts flying so they can get thier "sleds" out.

where hundreds of bikers were gathered over beer and good cheer--.
:congrats: on your Ryde and your Spyder. Sorry to sound like your granny but alcohol and motorcycling are not a good mix. Ryde Safe and Enjoy:thumbup:

Nope, no sleds, and I have never even ridden a jet ski or ATV. I did use to race sleds for a short while in the seventies, Speedway and SkiRoule. Haven't been on one since. The boys in GR should be very happy this year. No need to trailer to the UP to find snow.
