• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What a mess!

Hi guys, as you can see from my joining date I've only had my RT-S for a few months, but I'm noticing that the rear of the Spyder gets all messed up with dirt from the road. Taking it's because of the vacuum/back draft nature of the bike, but is there any way I can stop this?:banghead:
Riding in the rain you might feel a little spray on the back of your neck also, the mudflap will cure that.
:)

The official fix to the problem is to not ride the RT....

Seriously though, I believe there are waxes and such that claim to greatly reduce the amount of dust and dirt that cling to the surface, but I've never tried them. I do not believe any of these products can truly overcome the physics of static electricity. You see, the electricity created by the effect will usually conduct through the metal and not collect on the surface as it does with a material that does not conduct electricity, such as plastic; so the mineral deposits found in the dust end up clinging to the surface.

I know it doesn't solve your problem, but at least you now know why it is happening.....or, maybe you just have a magnetic personality (had to say it).
