• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What a difference a few pounds makes!

So I guess I have been a bad boy and had not checked my front tire pressure in a while.
All other times I had checked it (maybe once every few months) if they were low it was only like a pound if that.
So I got complacent on checking it as regularly.

Strange part is, 3 weeks ago I just put on a new rear tire. Why I did not check the fronts at that time is beyond me.

After a big ride with my wife this weekend, I was noticing it "seemed" to be harder to steer. My arms were even a little tired. I was thinking as we got home "is my DPS screwing up?".

So Sunday I washed up my Spyder and checked the front tires.... WHAT! :yikes:
Only had 14 PSI in them! Oooops....

Filled them up to 19.5 and this AM took off for work.
HOLY COW! It was like new power steering or something! What a difference!

So word of wisdom.....Check your tires regularly!
I made myself a calendar reminder in my phone so I don't go as long as I did last time...
Just amazing the difference in steering a few PSI makes in the front tires. Live and learn!

Very good point. The correct air pressure does make a difference in handling and in the life expectancy of the tires.

my golden # is 16.5 lbs, and 30 in the rear, have it written on my dealerships check list,

I too check infrequently, so the calendar idea is a good one:thumbup:

They once put in 21 and after I picked her up, on the ride home noticed something amiss,

ahh to my delight twas just the extra pounds. Just a note, the manual says 15-17, I know for many it is different.

just saying

There you go...!!

we all fall a little lax but with the temp changes some of you have it should be a bit more regular. I know when I ryde up north where it is cooler and higher I loose about 3 lbs. So If I'm staying a while I have to air up and remember to let air out on the return although your bouncing around like a bunny is a telltail sign..:roflblack: something to remember..thanks..:2thumbs:

good suggestions will keep in mind. i'm slack when it comes to keeping check my tires to, but not anymore. :lecturef_smilie:
