• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. What a Day

Back in the house from the Cowtown ride today I clocked 260 some miles however I did it on my red/white/blue Valkyrie due to the the 4th of July parade we were riding in. After the parade we visited some Spyderlovers Game Ranch and had the VIP tour. This group will have fun and even crack jokes about near disasters. Speaking of disasters we nearly had two, the first one I'll let the individual involved report and the other was about a mile out while me and the wife were passing a semi on I44 the bike seemed a little loose at 85mph at first I thought it was wind turbulance but it continued even at lower speeds managed to get off the interstate and barely got in a gas station with a flat rear tire. Got the wife a ride on home and plugged the tire along with 2 cans of fix a flat and still barely was able to make the last 4 miles home.

Sorry to hear about the flat Mo Lee but I am glad you made it home safe. I already made a thread about the fire, check it out and please feel free to add anything if I may have left something out.

It was nice ryding with you, while I still had a ryde anyway.

Sorry to hear about your flat :(

We just got home! :2thumbs:

I am pooped and wore out.
I was getting worried we gassed up in rolla spent 45 minutes with the flat and took a shower before you came on, You and G-man took the short cut.

I really enjoyed riding with you and you have such a great attitude even when things go wrong. I have my opinions now about what needs to be done and I will be looking hard a my Spyder tomorrow. I'm a little tired and sun burnt right now.

Not only did we take the "shortcut" and stop for ice cream, but Hwys K and J are pitch black when it gets dark. So factor in the 35-40 miles per hour most of the way, and once again the old saying holds true: "Short cuts make long delays" :doorag:

Dang, You guys had a cookout? I knew I should have made that trip instead of the one home. That makes 2 Spyders in a short time with fires. Its BP I tell you, fumes in the air from the oil in the gulf. Glad to hear you got it out and still was able to manage a good ryde.

Finally back in good old Fl. 650 miles today and only a little rain. Tomorrow, its detailing time and another ryde, maybe down and around Lake Okeechobee. Kind of out in the country and around 300 miles round trip.

You are nuts, ryding for so long, don't you ever take a break?

I have put on so many miles in the last 2 weeks, that now I am ready for my 2nd Service on my spyder. :2thumbs:

Maybe 30 miles for me tomorrow after my spyder gets a good washing :2thumbs:

Not me, I need to fireproof my Spyder and start removing a tire and do some tire shopping. Some people may think I'm kinda odd when that Valk goes back on the road.
