Kind of tired reading about all the fun on the East coast every year... Our lives simply do not offer the time needed to make a two + week trek to join all those fine folks...

Spydergirl - Move the date from the middle of the week to one end or the other!!! Having it in the middle of the week will mean only one day attendance for me!!

Yes, the Spyders in the Redwoods committee met yesterday in Bakersfield and there were a lot of really great (and totally do-able) ideas put out on the table. I think you all are really going to be happy.

As for the dates, we chose the middle of the week for the best option for rates on local accommodations and such. The next years may it expand it to more than 3 days, but for the first year we didn't want to bite of more than we can chew.
