There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. West Coast Spyder Event... interested??

I'm so glad that so many people are excited about this potential event. I've been up there many times in the past but only once for pleasure and never on 3 wheels. I have the highest hopes that this will work out famously.

Thank you all for your enthusiasm! :2thumbs:

Sounds like a good sub-title for "Spyders in the Redwoods". I picture a redwood with a spyder and a rough map of N CA with HWY 101 highlighted. Over the top is "Spyders in the Redwoods" with the dates and with "Let the Spyders run, on Highway one-oh-one!" at the bottom. :D

I like it... I already had a rough idea of what I wanted the design to look like. The front of a Spyder RS coming out of the drive-thru tree behind it. I know there are some of you who are handy with Photoshop... post up your pin / t-shirt design ideas for this event. If I pick it, I'll come up with some sort of prize to give out. :)

I think keeping it to 3 days, Tues., Weds., & Thurs. is the best plan. This would give a solid 3 day travel time to and from the event. One would only need to take 5 days vacation and that would even give those east of the Mississippi a good shot at attending if they added a day or two. If folks want to see more they come earlier or stay longer. You use your 3 day rally to introduce everybody to the highlights and a few local known things to do. It's your first rally. Don't overextend yourself! Just my $.02. :D

Yeah, that was the way I was leaning.... Tuesday through Thursday. Great minds think alike!! :D

Does that mean you're coming??????

I just put it on my calendar. So you will have at least one from the Chicago area. :ohyea: If this works out I'll leave home at o-dark-thirty on 28 July with my first stop in Rawlings WY. Second stop would be Winnemucca NV for BBQ  My last motorcycle trip to CA was in 1994. I guess it's time for a return visit and this seems like just the reason. :D:2excited:

SWEET!! Then I better get to work. :helpsmilie:

Really want to go to this one but it's 3300 miles for me one way and I promissed the kids we would go to Sturgis in 2011 which is the following week. Too many things to do now that I am retired. The only thing to do is plan for all of them, that way less scrambling when changes occur.

Come out to Cali and hit Sturgis on the way back home.

West Coast Event

Greetings from Chandler, AZ. I have been an '09 SE5 owner since March 2010. I would definitely be interested in a West Coast event. So far I have not attended any kind of Spyder Event. Please keep me informed.

Mods so far... Trunk Liner, Fog Lamps, Evo Sway Bar, Evo 02 Modifier, K&N Air Filter, CanAm Seat Upgrade, Tank Bag, CalSci Windshield, CanAm Billet Handlebar inserts, Grip Puppies & Yoshi Pipe.

Should I send you folks my contact info?

We rode down to Hollywood for the annual owners event in 2009, a mere 400ish miles which was no problem for us. I was very encouraged by how we handled it and thought it a good practice for our big trip in September '09 across the country.

We rode roughly 6200 miles from home to as far as Gatlinburg, TN and back in a 19 day period but on just one Spyder so we switched back and forth. It was tough and there were days that we were really tired but we got through it. It was our first time being out that far for that long and I know if we did it again it would be better. Our biggest obstacles were rain and cold.

This past year we rode our (now two) Spyders down to Arizona for just over a week. This trip turned out to be 2400 miles each from SF Bay Area to Sedona, AZ then down to Phoenix, then across to extreme Southern CA and then back home. This time around our biggest obstacles were wind and heat.

How far would you have to travel to get to our event this year?

Geoff.

Sounds like FUN :2thumbs: Maybe some of us:spyder2: from the NorthWest can meet up somewhere and caravan together and cruise down the coast!:yes:I'll watch the board for further up dates.
