Went for a test drive and brought it home!

Hi All,
I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I've wanted a Spyder ever since I saw one back in 2007. Checked the RS out a few years ago and wasn't sure about the rider position (seemed like I was leaning down onto my hands more than I was used to) so between that and the shaky job market at the time, I decided not to spend the money.

The job market is still shakey, but... hey I'm not getting any younger, so I decided to go for a test drive earlier this month. When we got to the dealership, I saw the RT model and fell in love! They didn't have any time for a test drive that day, so I set it up for Tuesday and after riding around for awhile decided to go for it. My husband was shocked since this will definitely push off the kitchen (or deck... or flooring or whatever remodel we still need to do).

I got what the dealership called the "limited limited" -- It started as a pearl white limited, but they swapped out the upper body panels with a blue RT-S, so it's half and half

I've got nearly 700 miles on it so far, and I'm having such a great time back on the road with the wind in my hair and the bugs in my teeth (ok, that doesn't seem to be as much of an issue anymore!). My husband has gotten to drive it occassionally, but mostly he gets stuck on the back (and yes... he wants one too, but they weren't having a 2 for 1 sale).

As a matter of fact, that exact model/color combo was sitting right next to mine . I go in Wed. for the 600m tuneup so I'll see if they've sold it.

Reminds me of one time in high school when I mistakenly wore one red and one green sock to school. Someone commented they liked my socks. I told I had another pair just like them at home:roflblack:.
