• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well this isn't cheap!!!

2008 Goldwing Reverse Trike. Just had 36,000 mile service. $31,999.00 OBO!!!:yikes: The bike is gorgeous, no doubt about it - however!!! For that much money get a brand new RT Limited. 1780001_780210368735457_3523786259983784564_o.jpg10679529_780210105402150_3531734027840974728_o.jpg10974178_780210322068795_1109169628693902587_o.jpg

Price is a big problem with conversions. When you get to the market where there are very few of a type to start with (here), they are even more pricey.

Beautiful looking. This iteration has been around and has been for sale in Europe. I believe they were trying to get them going here in the US. Last I heard, there were mechanical issues, and the dealers did not feel they were ready for the public yet.

It is true that if Honda actually started building this type of a vehicle, as a stock item, and with a full factory warranty--they would sell a lot of them. IMO of course. Who would not want that 6 cylinder 1800 cc engine? A $3K - $5K or so premium on the price over the Goldwing?

Nice !!

problem for me (maybe because you recognize the motorcycle) is all the conversions look like a motorcycle pushing an automotive front end. Skinny motorcycle rear tire etc. They are not cost effective by any means and lack the safety features on spyders. Jmo still beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

wish GoldWing would produce them... I might be riding one..
It's my understanding when Honda, and others, settled the class action lawsuit years ago over the three wheel ATVs that Honda, and maybe Kawasaki and Suzuki, agreed to never again build a three wheel vehicle. Polaris and Can Am weren't part of the class action and thus are not constrained from building 3 wheelers.

Honda has recently filed for a patent for a 3 wheeler with 2 wheels in the front. It's supposed to lean like a 2 wheeler as well. As for this R18 Reverse Trike, it is pricy but I have yet to see one on a twisty road. Don't think it will have any heat issues as the wing's engine is bullet proof. It also just looks to bulky.

That lawsuit dealt with off-road vehicles; specifically ATCs...
If it was REALLY in the way; it'd be pretty easy for Honda's legal Department to kick it to the side...

At 36k miles the engine has not even been broken in yet. The goldwing engine is good for over 400k miles without any repairs. Can Am cannot come close to that. So, when your new RTL is dead and burried, this Goldwing will still be on the road. That is why he will probably get the $31k for it.nojoke

Has anyone on this board riden one of these, how do they handle VS the Spyder?
I have ridden one for a few miles, but not enough to give any kind of meaningful assessment as to the handling vs. the spyder.
The torque and pull reminds me of the F3 now that I have ridden those.
There is no doubt you're sitting on a substantial piece of machinery.
