• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, that's off my shoulders.

They are definitely better looking in person, but i am all about the comfort the RT series gives me .................... So, no F3 for me.

I love my 2014 RT but would like a little more sportiness. I test drove the F3 and while it is a ton of fun it just doesn't have the comfort nor the storage space I am looking for. I test drove the 2014 ST and loved the ride. Unfortunately the current ST does not have the 1330 and I am totally sold on that engine and transmission. I will wait and see if BRP will either put the 1330 in the ST or, if they can not because of design issues, then a ST type bike with the 1330. If they do then I will be first in line to trade.

First long trip report on the F3-S:
300 mile ride back home.
Best... Ride... EVER!
The Blue Ridge Parkway windshield was a great choice! No wind buffeting, even with an open faced helmet the windshield did a great job protecting the upper body from the high winds.
Comfort was superb! The bad part was actually stopping for restroom breaks. Otherwise I could have done more miles continuously.
Handling was incredible! This is truly a trike with a soul of a bike!
Milage was around 31 mpg. Started at a full tank, filled after 136 miles with 4.6 gallons (capacity of 7.1) and did the rest of the trip with around 1/4 marking left on the fuel gauge. In conclusion: BRP not only hit a home run with the F3... It pretty much wrote itself into the Hall of Fame!

Welcome to New Mexico!

It would be a great bike in the mountain and country twisties but a lousy bike across the hot, windy desert. It has a small frunk so grocery shopping and Del Taco runs would be tough.

For me, you are half right . . . . the F3 also seems to love the desert runs. We will see about the 'hot' part this Summer.

Wait a minute! Is that two F3s in Erick's garage? Surely one is for his beloved...

I went to Findlay Ohio and sat on the one my dealer , American Powersports has. Its a silver with red frame F3-S SM6 and I thought it was a sharp looking machine. Much better looking in person. I liked the cruiser riding position but that's what I'm used to. I demoed two RTs in the last two years, a 2013 and a 2014 and I just wasn't that comfortable nor did I care for the styling or the side loading saddlebags. I like the U-Fit system and the fact the F3 can be configured in many different ways, much like a motorcycle. Different strokes for different folks.

I purchased my first Spyder from American Powersports in Findlay, OH. It was a used 2009 RS fully loaded (full height touring windshield, BRP passenger backrest, and Givi sidecases) and had about 4000 miles on it. I had searched all over until I saw their ad in Cycletrader. No one anywhere could touch their deal. I live in East Tennessee and it is an 8+ hour drive for me but I was saving over $2000.00. It cost me about $200.00 in gas. I made the deal over the phone and drove up. They did the DPS recall while I was there and loaded it for me. This was in November 2009 and the dealership wanted to make room for snowmobiles. I was happy to help them out. The RS served me well for another 6000 miles when I traded it for a new 2009 Yamaha FZ6R which I in turn traded for a new 2012 Spyder RT A/C about a year later. I have already told the story here about trading the latest Spyder for a 2015 Yamaha FJ-09 which I think I will keep for a long time.

You got it:thumbup:

Funny story... I wasn't sure at first but Leira wanted to get heated grips on her RS-S and a cruise control. She wasn't fond of the looks of the F3 but Lamont did a good job convincing her to trade up since it was either get the aftermarket farkles on the RS or trade to an ST. Once she got convinced, I thought "wait a minute... she gets a bigger engine than me... NO WAY!":roflblack:

Again... this is by far the best Spyder I have ever ridden. At 300 miles coming back home I wasn't ready for the ride to end. My previous RT's were troublesome at first and it took a few service bulletins + updates to get them to my liking. The F3 was already to my liking the minute I wheeled it off the dealer (or got on it the first time on a Demo one).

American Powersports

I've bought 3 brand new motorcycles from him since 2003. He has treated me very good with excellent service and gives me discounts on clothing & accessories. He has relocated since you dealt with him. He's now right along I-75 at the County Road 99 exit (one exit further North). Bigger showroom & better parking and he owns this building as opposed to leasing as at the other locataion.
