• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, it finally happened

I bought my 2013 RT-S in August of last year. I was very happy with my purchase as both my wife and I love it. We have logged almost 14,000 miles. When the 14 RTs came out, I kept reading about how great they were. Every time I went to my dealer for service, I kept putting off test riding a 14 after hearing of all the stories of people buying one after said test ride, even if they weren't looking to upgrade. We went to Spyder Rendezvous in Johnson Creek, WI (great event, BTW), and after talking to so many Spyder riders that have a 14 and how great it is, I couldn't resist any longer. We test rode one last Saturday. We loved it instantly. My wife even commented how much smoother the handling and shifting is. Now, of course, I want one. I am anxiously awaiting a phone call from my dealer to see if he has located the one I want. (Cognac RT-S).

Good luck! I've held off test riding one, because I don't think I can afford to upgrade . . . but I do have fun on my 2013!

Might wait a bit longer...see what 2015 brings or get a better deal on a 14.

Just an idea.

Dubld,

I agree with PK. If this is a typical year, there will likely be a manufacturer's rebate of about $3000 on the 2014 coming out within the next 3 or 4 weeks, as the 2015 models are announced. No guarantee because there still seems to be a lot of untitled 2013 models still around, but that's what they've done in the past with the RT's. Then you can deal with the dealer from there.

Last Fall, I bought my dealers 2013 RT "personal demo", that he had ridden all season, for a very good price. He wants to sell me his 2014 in another month and I'm tempted because it is really outfitted nice with lots of extras. But, I've got so much money in my current Spyder now, I'm not sure I can justify trading it already.

Great News!

Cody at Metro in Cedar Rapids, IA came through with flying colors. He found the one I want, and gave me a good deal. I will be picking it up tomorrow.

:congrats: Glad to hear that you found one!!

Really don't understand what all the excitement is all about with the Cognac color its only a form of orange. When I told my wife I was going to trade in my 2012 on a 2014 she only asked that I please not bring home the orange color one and I reassured her I was going for the Timeless Black this time, after having two sliver ones thought it was time to get back to basics. Love my black RTs.

Good for you!

If you can't work up enough of a rainstorm; do you still enjoy peeing on somebody else's Parade?
