There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Greetings folks. Yesterday I picked up my new to me 2013 RT -Ltd. I picked it up in the veritable boonies. 3 hours from home - major highways for a long stretch then about 30 miles of twisty, hilly beautiful country roads. I was a bit hesitant as I only rode a Spyder once 2 years ago. Long story short - what a wonderful way to learn. I had read the post for new riders several times, the "suggestions" firmly in my head and the ride home was a breeze. Kept off the brake, kept the revs up, pushed on the handlebars in the curves and voila - piece of cake! After reading all the new rider posts and issues about feeling thrown off I couldn't help but think all people have to do is read the stuff at this wonderful place - everything is here folks!
Bottom line - what a wonderful bike and thanks to all for all your posts and suggestions.
Cheers
Eugene

But you have about the stickiest tires that I've ever seen! :D

:congrats: Glad to hear that you're "Up on three"! :riding:

:welcome: and :congrats: Glad to hear you enjoyed the ride home--made easier by the information provided to new and current :ani29::f_spider::spyder2: riders.

Its great when the "students" follow the directions in the book. This coming from an accounting professor. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Enjoy the many miles to come. Hope the blood does not run to your head when driving upside down. :roflblack::roflblack: Sorry, had to mention that.

I see they got it fixed for you. Enjoy :yes:

Welcome & Congrats!

:welcome: and :congrats: . Enjoy your new ryde and remember....wheel side down! Sounds like you have had some limited experience on Spyders. I would suggest look on this forum for the "Do's and Don'ts" and an important item to note is do NOT back up quickly and turn - you will flip it. We had seen that done at one of the events we were at. Anyways, congrats and safe travels!:clap:

Me too,,,but...

I got my '13 about a week before you did.l bought it from Classic Iron in Fredericksburgh VA.It' about 4 hrs away.Really love the spyder, but coming home on I 95 Memorial Day weekend very heavy traffic the bike was very squirrly and l was wondering if l had made a big mistake.Read about the Lazer alignment, had it done, what a difference. Runs straight as an arrow, couldn't be happier. I hope you enjoy your's as much as my wife and l are enjoying ours.

Luckily mine had the alignment and sway bar all done so I enjoyed it from day 1. I also had a mixed bag of riding on the first day but it helped me learn to ride the Spyder very quickly! Now - all we need is some good weather - we've had buckets of rain 5 days a week - sheesh!

Congrats
