• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well I got a Limp Home Mode today - 12 Error Codes!

It took a while to pull the error codes (what a pain). My Spyder is being hauled to Sehorn shop in Shawnee, Ok.
The Error codes are:
U0073 U0100 C006C
U0128 U0259 U0122
U0155 U0101 P0000
C0062 C0061 U1160

I was going to take a short 1-mile ryde to warm up the oil to check it.
That is sure a heck of a lot of error codes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say there is a great chance that it's a failing battery. When the battery voltage falls below a certain point, your ECU has the equivalent of a stroke (though the damage isn't permanent as it is with us). It gets disoriented and starts throwing all kinds of random, meaningless codes. My guess is a new battery will cure your problem.

It started up okay with no hesitation. I do not recall exactly when I replaced it. Been a while.

Well, I'm not there so I'm just guessing from afar. It could be something else. Most, if not all of these codes, are basically reporting a failure to communicate with various sensors and systems. Low battery voltage can do this. But so can rodents chewing on wires or a full ECU failure. You want this to be a battery issue rather than either of these.

Most of those codes are specific to comms between the VCM and the rest of the machine. Although, there is a Cluster one in there. You may want to refer to your Owner's Guide and check the fuses, also, including the larger square ones, as well as just battery terminal tightness, if you haven't done that yet. Quick and easy.
