• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well I did it....

Traded my 2012 RTL for a 2017 RTL. On the 2012 the reccomended shift at about 5000 rpm. What is the concensus for shifting the 1330 2017?

Thanks for all suggestions.

:congrats: on your upgrade to the 1330. Try shifting points around 3500. You will quickly find the sweet spot on your machine.:yes:

:clap:somewhere in the "3's". Now you get to experience it all over again..enjoy..:ohyea::ohyea:

1330club  :2thumbs:
I like it "low & slow": that engine is perfectly happy with shift points down as low at 2500 rpm.

+1

But is will be perfectly happy shifting at about 2600 if you are into the "economy" thing.....and aren't in a hurry.
Or a LOT higher than that if you ARE in a hurry.

When a lot higher is needed, shift down one gear and "punch" it. Don't happen here very often--but have done it a couple times.

I have never exceeded 90 miles per hour or 6,000 rpms. Just me--"Mr Conservative." :roflblack:
