The whole issue of how to carry the key when it's not in the ignition keeps cropping up here... The sheath; while pretty handy... just doesn't seem to inspire confidence...
Drilling the key just turns my backbone to jelly... :shocked:
The IPS is a gorgeous solution; but If you do have to carry it you'd best have very big and deep pockets...
One of our very own: Schnauzer; has come up with another way to skin this cat... A pouch for the key! Slip your key down into it, snap it shut and you're good to go!
I was sent one to see if I liked it and I didn't: I LOVED it!:clap:

I'd have to give this one Two-Thumbs-Up...:2thumbs: as a way to get a better grip on your key!

They do work pretty well... I ended up with a speedloader pouch for the .500 S&W Magnum for carrying mine!

Well that's what I thought when the topic came up... Then one was sent to me to check out and I just kind of sidled up to it and said, "Yeah... This'll do quite nicely..." :thumbup:
So I've ordered another one for my spare key too!

This is the best part of this website: folks will always find another way to do things; When you put all of this brainpower together, a lot of good stuff can be accomplished! :yes:

Nice idea on the 5.11 GPS Pouch. For those, like me in the military, would wear this as part of the uniform and not stand out!

Saw this pouch on the Ladies' Spyder group on Facebook. It's a nifty option!!! It would get me to wear my spare key on a lanyard. Much better than leaving it at home!!! PM sent to Schnauzer.
