• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Weird story time!! White smoke and it smelt like wood burning!?

Left for an appointment this morning, and 3 miles down the road, I smelt wood burning. I live in a rural area, so I just thought someone was burning a brush pile. Sitting at the stop sign, I could see white smoke coming from my exhaust. NO lights on the dash. I rode it home and turned it off. Got inside and hunted down my wife's car keys and came back out; Spyder was still smoking. It did NOT smell like oil or coolant burning. Weird! I finally got home later and started looking. The coolant level is still good, the brake fluid level is good, and the oil level is good (yes, I let it warm up, yada yada yada). I let it cool down and took the exhaust off; there was nothing out of the ordinary in the exhaust. Started the bike up; no smoke out of the catalytic converter. I revved the bike, and 3 marble-sized chunks of what looked like charcoal came flying out with other ash material. So I started looking in there with a mirror... There were the remnants of a mouse nest that was burnt up!!! I did say that I live in a rural area. lol. I used the mechanical fingers to pull the rest of it out and we t for a ride. No more wood-burning smell and no more smoke.

SCARED the crap out of me, as I thought I'd blown the motor at first! I think I'm going to buy a CAT delete system...

Got aftermarket pipes, but I've got baffles in them that will keep mice out of everything except the glass pack, and it would blow them out. Some baffles are good for something besides moderating the sound.

I started up my gas grill yesterday. A mouse came running out along the grid and the new nest underneath caught fire. How did I know it was a new nest? Because I just did the same thing two weeks ago! Gotta find a good way to keep them out for good.

Wonder if those marble size chunks that came flying out have any remnants of tails and ears?
Probably acorns, mice had been going in the air intake duct in the grill of my truck and storing acorns on top of my air filter cartridge.
I had to put a piece of stainless screen over the air intake duct. They probably putting them back on the exhaust headers now, so they will catch on fire. I know they still going in the engine compartment somewhere. The dog sniffs around the radiator grill and the fender wells all the time.
