• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Weird Electrical Issue

I can attest to battery tenders showing green even when the battery is toast. And would not be the first bad battery, however if it fires up now and runs but wont let you go into gear (i assume an auto trans) then you may have another problem. Id ride it around for 20 minutes see if the voltage thing comes up then you know the battery is dead or not being charged enough. Not sure what effect that would have on an auto trans... but again since your in warranty just take it in, despite the pain the butt that is

Resolved. Found two things.

Before taking to the dealer, I heeded the advice here and checked the battery cables. Sure enough, the positive was loose. This explains the total power loss and sporadic starting delays (I think.)

Then, the inability to go in reverse was because the shifting relay near the fuses was not in correctly. The service technician told me that the shifting relay has been a small problem on the 2015 but not enough for a recall. The three prongs aren't pushed in correctly, or something to that effect. He replaced the relay.

Did my 3,000 mile service too. My belt had almost no vibration at the typical RPMs afterwards. The must have tightened it.

I requested a "laser alignment" but they stated that my new Shamrock rims couldn't be laser aligned. I don't know what that means, but it tracks perfectly even after their "standard alignment."

Thanks for the input on this issue!

I haven't looked at the Shamrock rims, but the mandrels used in the laser alignment are precision machined to fit in the standard rim hubs. Perhaps the Shamrock design is different enough that the mandrels would not fit.
