Since I purchased my Spyder, I have had a drip coming out of the charcoal canister vent tube underneath. Started the day I picked it up and has been back to the dealer three times with no change. What happens is after I ryde and park it, the vent tube has fumes for the first couple of minutes, then as the engine cools, the vapor condenses into liquid and the drip begins. I usually only get five or six drops and then it all ceases. At first I thought it was gas (I get a gassy smell after shutdown - enough to leave the garage door open for a couple of minutes so it doesn't come into the house) but I've moved the Spyder out and took a lighter to the liquid and it does not burn. My dealer did change out my charcoal canister and the purge solenoid, but the drip continues. My Spyder runs like a champ and when I rode it 360 miles this weekend I got 28MPG. I'm thinking it's an ethanol byproduct from the gas. I started using Startron Starbrite today and will run several tanks to see if this helps. Just wanted to know if anyone had any other ideas on this problem or had run into it. Note-I have tried several different gasoline brands so it does not seem specific to any one brand.
