We have actually made a change. Instead of 2 brackets, we are now using one complete bracket instead. Basically, it attaches the same way, but you do not have to attach the bar since it is built into the length. The 2 bolts you remove will be discarded. The 2 holes that mount to the byke are slotted for adjustment. You still need the small shim below that.
Does this mean if you order kit no #2 for those that already have your adapter kit for the RT, it will come with the new bracket (the complete bracket built into the length instead)
Therefore the bar would not be required you would just use the the small shim and to 2 longer bolts
This should make installation easier and possibly quicker
If you have the adapter already, you would need to order kit #2. It will come with the shorter bracket that can either bolt up to the F3 or the RT with the adapter. The only ones that are getting the longer bracket are kit #3. That way, everyone has the best of both worlds, either with the adapter or not.
We basically did this to have less bolts and nuts involved and making it easier to install. It will apply to new installs for kit #3 only. As I said, if you already have the RTBK adapter, and need the rest of the kit from us, you need a kit #2. If you are upgrading from the BRP unit, you just need the arm and pulley (kit #1) , as everything else will be reused.
I know this is a little confusing, but this is the best way to do this and many, many hours were put in figuring out the best way to accomplish everything for all the different possibilities.
I don't think we will need any more changes, but if something comes along that will make a better product, we will do so. One thing we ARE working on is a different type pulley option for the '13 and under RT's with the ribbed belt. Even though that little whine is barely noticable, I would like to remove it if possible. Another possible addition is an application for the RS and St.
