• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The weather sucks this year, i can't remember another year when i couldnt take the bike out for a few days in march. Now the forcast looks wet and crappy all week so the outlook is not good. I need some serious spyder time i am forgetting how muh fun it is to ride :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

It sure does suck! Last 4 weekends rain/snow and it looks like this weekend some more of the same. Ugh!

While :agree: with you: this will wash all of the sand and salt off of the roads...
(I had mine out in February, and there will be a small "window of opportunity" this Wednesday & Thursday...)

Hang in there! :D

We normally get what you get. Will be plating mine on April 1st but don't really expect to get out on it for a bit. I refuse to go out with snow melt running across the roads, both me & the spyder get too dirty.

We had 46% more snow then average from Nov - Feb.... still not warm out. not so patiently waiting to ride

OK, listen to this. Finally cooled down enough to get some serious riding in. It has been in the 90's now for almost the entire month of March. Now we have about ten days forecast to be in the high 70's to low 80's.
Yesterday was riding day.

I rode the Spyder, my Can Am Maverick, Yamaha WR250R, BMW R1200R LC and even my Bicycle for about 30 minutes then thanked the man upstairs for my health and such a wonderful day.

Hi Jack,
:D Are you really saying that it gets too hot to ride? :D

100 degree temperatures, and a wet Tee-Shirt: I'm good for the day!

But I'm glad to hear that you had a bit of a talk with "The Man Upstairs"...

My story a bit different. We are coming up on a whole week of forties. That should take the cold edge off of things and bring the final melt on my driveway and final 2.5 blocks of ice covered road.

I may be riding by this time next week.:bowdown::bowdown:

I have seen one motorcycle out and about so far.:yes:

The weather does :cus: , I still have a lot snow on the ground, this week the forecast says the temps in 40's rain.

This week-end April 1st the forecast is snow( white fungus), so my spyder will still be in hibernation. I will post when I wake up spyder from it's hibernation.

I am hoping for April 5th or April 8th waking up spyder from it's long winter's nap. Also depending on weather.

I am long over due for riding on spyder. Weather has to change to for the good. It is the last week of March!

Last month, highs reached into the 60s. I fired up the lawnmower, dropped the deck height, added the grass catcher, and removed all the dead stuff. Smallish grass catcher gets full after 25 feet; stop, remove catcher, empty into plastic 45 gallon trash bag. Reinstall grass catcher, fire up the mower, go another 25 feet or so. Repeat for the better part of two days. 39 trash bags, IIRC.

Last week, pulled weeds in all the gardens. Removed dead "witch's broom" growth from my wife's several large rose bushes. Collect numerous scratches as souvenirs.

Last weekend: plant several new flowering things my wife bought. All while the azaleas are blooming:

Oh, yeah: ride the Spyder at least twice a week! More, if I take it to the gym in the mornings -- if the cat lets me:

This is payback for the 16 years I spent in Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming courtesy of Uncle Sam.

I look out on the st.lawrence river what do I see is ice, ice and more ice

March has not quit. We got two inches of snow last night and a bit more predicted today. Then, will come the mid to high forties. Looks like another week. :lecturef_smilie:

Update: March just refuses to quit. 6 inches more snow added to the three we got yesterday. Schools were closed in Anchorage today. Snow has now stopped and the melt is on. Main highways are back to pavement. We are headed for mid forties by the weekend.

Am hoping that Spring is finally coming to our area.:yes:
