• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Unfortunately we can not go. THe race is on Wed. May 21st and we both work. Also, we are saving time and dollars for Valcourt. It was nice to get invited though.

Deb... I'm confused... I posted on Can-am too...... the Indy 500 is on Sunday the 25th.

Are you talking about something else?

It must be that BRP's Spyder event was on the 21st. Maybe it's during some preliminary race. dltang and I aren't racing fanatics so it probably didn't occur to her that THE Indy 500 is ran on Sunday.

Did they give any other details? Damn.. I wonder if you would get to ryde the Spyder on the track ??

That would be KEWL!!!

The guy definitly said the 21st and said it was a Wed. That is how I was so sure we had to work. And like bjt said, we aren't big race fans anyway. It would be fun to run the Spyder on the race track though.

In my opinion.... if part of the deal was that you could run your Spyder around the indy track.... that would be just about the coolest thing you could do with a Spyder..... WOW...... especially if they let you open her up!!!

Damn......

I rode my Harley on a NASCAR track in N.C. along with a couple of hundred other riders. This was in connection with a HOG event. It was strictly controlled at all times with no opportunity to "open it up". We were held back by a pace car and the spirit of the company lawyers. In three or four laps, I was rarely able to get out of first gear. I never got beyond third gear. It was not what you might imagine. I am glad I did it, if only for the meager bragging rights. I don't think I would do it again unless I could go alone.

I've been fortunate enough to ride Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Talladega, Altanta, BarberMotorSports Park, and Chicago Speedway...on a motorcycle. I don't care who ya are, it's cool to see the tracks from the other side.
:congrats:

I got an invite too, but can't find the page on the BRP website to register. They say I need my certificate number to register, too, but I haven't got that yet, either. I live about 20 miles south of Indy, so getting there is no big deal, but how do I register?

This is a Spyder Owners event. Go to spyderryder.com click on events and go to Indianapolis May 21. You can sign up on that page. If you want to ride your spyder around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track go to www.miracleride.net (must use www) and sign up for June 1. I will be at both events.
