Maybe the "bonnet" is what BRP calls the tank cover, that doesn't cover the tank on a Spyder!!!!:roflblack:Then where is the bonnet? :roflblack:
WSJ gave Tesla a great review on the 'S'. I'm seriously thinking of an S or Fisker Karma sometime in 2013.It would be competition only if they sell any of those "things"... and right now it is not looking too good for Tesla.![]()

We have a winner! :firstplace:On the end opposite the boot.

We know who had it first though--VW, way back when they used the rear, air cooled engines. I guess we called it the trunk though.
I think the first use of "frunk" came for Spyder Lover members--anyone know who may be the first to call it that?

Cool! I'm only interested in the full blown 'S' version. I've learned that about myself over the years, hence the RT Limited with all the bling! Let us know your opinion. On the Karma- I like you're thinking. NOT to be like Beiber, but I just think a titanium/silver is a classy color, but BEST I like chrome colors like black chrome- it looks like a black pearl. You walk away asking if it's black or if it's chrome.I just pre ordered the Tesla S model. You can pick one up for only $50,000 with the 45kwh battery. If you want the 85Kwh performance battery like i do. Which can do 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds and get you 300 miles on one charge. But it will set you back $98,000.
I would only get the Fisker Karma if i can get it painted chrome like Justin Beiber's. Which is illegal to do in some states. Unless your a celebrity.
WELLL.... I should have read that before I lusted. I'm a big guy, so it may be a problem. For me it wouldn't be the 400 mile journey car. It would be my every day car. We're putting charging station(s) in the parking lot of our new building (LevelII) so it's logical. Good analogy on the Spyder and that's where my mind is. I love different stuff. Around our company we call it- CHIFF... Clever, High Quality, Innovative, Functional, and Fun.Hmmm, Edmunds didn't sound all that impressed;
"There are problems with that DNA, however. Like the Elise, the Tesla Roadster has the most cramped cabin of any car sold in this country. It's difficult to get in and out of (especially with the removable roof in place) and, once in, you'll find yourself rubbing shoulders with the person next to you. At least Tesla has added carpeting, sound insulation and other higher-quality materials to make the interior nicer (and quieter). Still, there's no escaping the stark cabin ambience even with the pricey "Executive" leather package. Frankly, we expect a whole lot more refinement and luxury features for $100,000.
The ride is also quite firm (less so with the optional adjustable suspension), and the non-power steering that is such a delight through corners is bound to be a pain in parking lots. So from a practicality standpoint, the 2011 Tesla Roadster runs out of juice even among exotic sports cars, especially when you consider its comparatively limited range and the 3.5-hour recharge time. Even its gasoline-free powertrain won't necessarily be that cheap to feed, depending on how much you pay for electricity."
They did however, say it was really quick and fun to drive. For my money 100K is a lot to spend on a car I can't take on a road trip without spending 4 hours at a stop every 250 miles, but as Spyder owners know there is something to be said for owning something new and different.
