There is a frost advisory out tonight south of Burlington, Vermont , and in the Adirondacks in New York :banghead:.

Also for those you live in the New England states the trees are starting to show so color ( fall foliage). Deanna

Hi Deanna,

Re: the trees are starting to show so color

A friend & I did about a 5 hr ride 1 1/2 weeks ago and I noticed that same thing here in Oregon.

Is it early this year for your area? It is for here,

Jerry Baumchen

PS) Seeing the fall foliage in NE is one of the things on my bucket list.

HI Jerry,

No, it is not early in my area for the trees to show color, usually by mid of Oct. the trees are past "Peak" color, and we can get the ( White fungus, snow)anytime after that. :yikes: But I hope we have a winter like we had last year ( which was very mild, on Christmas Day the temp was 70 degrees) again this year. Deanna

The leaves are just starting to show some color up here...
But we hit 85 yesterday!
GREAT weather to go for a ride!

The had a snow dump on Loveland Pass on Colo., too. I considered ryding that way on my way to Utah last week, but decided to take the Eisenhower Tunnel in the interest of time.

My neighbors' tree is starting to drop leaves in my yard. It's a bit early for that here in Ohio. Not looking forward to winter.....

What..!!

Ya'll sure know how to a damper on this gine weather...just ryde and enjoy...don't look up more than to see the road ahead let the mountains deal with snow thats their job...:roflblack:

Good luck on your pre-snow sale Dave :2thumbs:

Sorry Deanna, I can't agree with you on this one. What is white fungus to some is white gold to others; Skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers ect. Myself, I'm a snowmobiler during the winter months while the spyder is in hibernation. Last winter I purchased a new sled and had to do some traveling north of the border (Quebec) and in areas of the North East Kingdom in order to get some use out of it. I hope this winter I can use our local trails which were snowless last winter. JMO

Soon

THe ski resort closest to me is supposed to open Oct 31. Mt. Rose /Ski Tahoe was open well over 5 months last year ( it's for sale BTW---- a cool 150 million and that not the land) 12 minutes from backing out of my garage to parking only a few feet from the ski runs. Life is good.

So for me it's time to wax the skis, check the bindings and boots, inventory all that ski gear. I positivly look foward to both spring and winter, riding the snow and ryding the :spyder2:.

Kaos

White fungus is called snow, I think that someone else on this site calls it White fungus. That is where I got the name from . Yes, I know that the ski resorts and other people that depend on mother nature. Also it brings in $$$ into our state. Deanna

Lots of color up in the San Juans yesterday. Snow in the upper elevations too but it was all gone from earlier in the week in Silverton. This pic was taken near the ski area just north of Silverton yesterday (9/25).

Little early this season, but 2 weeks ago 1.5 hours sw of edmonton had 9 plus inches of snow, now the same for peace river area and north. Supposed to be a harsh nasty winter this season so have put the spyder in the garage, removed the truck camper, done all the outside chores, for winterizing. OH MY GOD, and then yersterday Oct 1 it rained cats and dogs like a june/july monsoon storm. If I get to ride again it will be a bonus, if not, at least last weekend for the SANTA'S ANAMOUS toy run was BEAUTIFUL.
