• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We both got to sit test one.

We were on our way home Monday from a little weekend stay with our son in Nashville. We stopped in Findlay Ohio and ate lunch there. I suggested we stop by at American Powersports before going home We looked around and I spotted a new 2017 F3 Limited in Pure Magnesium Metallic. The saleman helped to show us the trunk, frunk and saddlebags. I asked if we could try sitting on it two up and he said ok. I let my wife get on first then I used her floorboards to get on. It was cozy but comfy for both of us. I could've used the next forward position on the driver floorboards and maybe the next further reach handlebars. The dealer still has it priced at $23,999 and I'm not sure how much he would be negotiable price-wise. I'm still sitting it out waiting for my eye surgeons to get me to some sort of corrective eye glasses for double vision. No riding or driving until that happens. I'm not sure if I would be safe on my two wheeler even then, especially with my wife on board. Hopefully something will happen before it gets warm outdoors.

My mother had a medical accident while getting cataracts removed and she developed double vision.

While waiting for a surgeon to take her to properly correct the issue (she eventually had to go to a "children's specialist" who corrects kids who are born with crossed eyes and the like) ...

In the meantime, she got some kind of "prism" lenses for her eye glasses. They weren't cheap if I recall but did the job. The lenses completely straightened out her sight.

Well, she finally got into the children's eye specialist and was fixed ... but I thought I would comment and wish you well.

Hope the Doctors can come up with the right combination so that you can continue to "ride in the wind." As you know, the :f_spider: is a great alternative to "two" wheels.:yes:

Wow...!!

sure hope they get you fixed up so you can get back out there. Spyder would be the way to go for sure. You will find out how fun they are once you leave the showroom floor and get out there on the road...

Hope you can get the health challenges taken care of. When you do, go back! Ask for Shannon. We are awaiting delivery of our 2017 RTL. Everyone we delt with was very accommodating, kind, and wanted us happy. Can't say enough about the dalership. They even put on lights I bought from Lamonster.

Prices

Hi there fellow Ohioans!
If and when you decide to the a leap into or Spyder Community, check out PowerSports 360 in Huron which is close to you too. They have a steel black 2017 F3 Limited for $21,999 or a 2016 Red Pearl F3 Limited for $19,499...

Thank-you much

I'm visiting one of the surgeons for a follow-up tomorrow and will see the other one in a couple weeks. I appreciate all of the words of encouragement. I will really miss riding once the weather gets warmer so I'm hopeful the eyesight gets fixed by then. I think the F3 Limited would be the best of both worlds for cruising or touring for the two of us. I can always add a trailer if we decide to go on long distance or over-night trips with more luggage. The safety features and the stability of the Spyder are strong selling points, especially with the aging process. Thanks again to all.

2017 MSRP and discounts

If my memory serves me the 2017 F3 Ltd. was listed at well over $28K and American Powersports has this one at $23,999. I've checked Honda East in Maumee but their website wants a"click a quote". Not ready here to be bombarded with sales calls. Powersports 360 up in Huron Ohio has them beat on that black one by a couple grand. Not sure I'd want to go the 60+ miles to go there being as American Powersports is only 15 miles from my home and Honda East is about 40 miles. I bought my 2015 Indian from Honda East and have gotten good service. I've also bought from American Powersports a couple times and had good service there as well.
