• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We are home with the ST-Limited

flamingobabe

...in the pink (Girls On Spyders)
we got in this evening...started in Conway, AR 41 degrees ...ended in Friendswood, TX 80 degrees...good ride...love my ST....more later...I'm tired...here is what hg posted

Took off Monday afternoon, after work, and rode 350 miles to Durant Ok.... got a room.... Got up the Tuesday morning and left before sun up.... saw LOTS of deer near the road.... it may have been better to wait for daylight...nojoke
Was PLENTY nippy... around 39*F but the sun came out, and it warmed to 42*...LOL
Then it clouded over and never got warmer.. and no sun to help ...The last 300 miles to Springfield was cold... and the last 50 miles, I was cold soaked... I got th Pitbull Powersports around 1pm.
I was chilled to the bone!!! Talked with Len and Vanessa, went next door and had a sandwich...Mmm Mmmm Mmmm ... thanks Vanessa!!!!!
Looked around the new digs!!!!!! Really nice setup, and Len is really taking care of his customers!!!! Ane FB REALLY LOVES her new STL!!!!!
Flamingobabe and I said our 'farewells' and headed South... and things started warming up!!!! Went 180 miles to Conway Ar. and got a room. Slept like a 'ROCK"..... I used to say I slept like a baby.... but they wet the bed... and I didn't do that....
We got up this morning and putted around, drank coffee.... got on the road around 8:30.... The sun was out!!!!! A Beautiful morning!!! Rode down the road about 2 hours and stopped at a Waffle House....Had a Good LATE breakfast.... That will usually tide me over til I quit for the day...
The farther south we go, and warmer it got!. Southern Arkansas and North Texas had green grass and trees budded out. By the time we got to Lufkin it was 80* and we were 3 hours from the house.... and it was going to put us in the middle of Houston rush hour traffic.....Sooooo We could spend an hour sitting in traffic.... or an hour eating at Ralph and Kacoo's for a really fine Cajun seafood meal..... and hit Houston after the worst traffic.... It was Mighty Tasty!!!!
Drove the last 3 hours... full as a tick..(man, I hate riding when I'm that full!)..but made it home with no trafiic slow downs around 7:30pm...

Thanks to the Folks at Pitbull Powersports for bringing this all together!!!!!!!
BTW.... FB now has 1380 miles on her, now less than new Spyder... LOL
hotglue.

Great..!!

Sounds like an amazing trip. Like clockwork. Glad all went well and you are able to get some well deserved rest. Congrats again on the new ryde and enjoy it...:thumbup:

Mr Orange.....
You have to realize I have 'THIN' blood..LOL it was 90* when I left home... and it was a 50* temp drop. I have a Gerbing heated jacket and gloves... and they work GREAT!!!! and usually if I can keep my body core warm, I'm OK... I think it was just too many hours in the saddle and no radiant heat from the sun.... and the temp loss from the legs overcame the heated torso. But then again.. I just may be a Wuss...LOL... Hey... we never even had a freeze this winter...LOL... Maybe I need more antifreeze....:coffee:
Can't wait ta see ya at the Fest!!!!!!!

Thanks for the updates. Now, when is the pink going to show up on the new spyder? Inquiring minds want to know. And maybe a flamingo here and there. Just a thought. :hun: Oh, HG....I'm still bringing the champagne to celebrate the new spyder!

So glad everything is going good with your new Spyder! Looking forward to getting together with the both of you at the Fest.

HG, you need to get yourself some heated gear. I highly recommend the Powerlet heated jacket. I've been out on 17 degree weather and was just fine. It folds down to a very compact size. It is also very nice when youve been out ryding on a hot summer day and the temps drop after the sun goes down. I carry mine year round.

:agree: on the Powerlet stuff. I just mounted my power outlet on the dash. Good gear.

hey, FB and HG ... been really vicariously enjoying your acquisition and break-in of the new Spyder!!

can't wait to see all three of ya at Spyderfest!!

rest up ... ryde safe ... enjoy those miles and smiles.
