There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think that "global warming" is characterized just as much by erratic weather (extreme high / low temps, changes in average precipitation and storm patterns, etc.), not just warmer temps. The average global temperature has only increased by 1 or 2 degrees in 100 years. :dontknow:

It was -1F at 5:30 this am. Rode spyder to work to set my new low temp record. Snowmobile personal record is -34F, set in Winnipeg back in 2005.

We took the dog for a walk this morning at -9F and we had icicles hanging off our eyelids and eyebrows by the time we got back to the house. nojoke

-16 without wind chill when I took the little one to the bus stop this morning. Once I got back to the house I took a glass of water outside and threw it in the air to see if it would freeze before hitting the snowbanks, and yes it works. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
It was -9 F here this morning, plus a 15mph wind. The Outtie 500 started first turn and I went to the barn and put the horses out. 3 layers of cloths full face mask and insulated boots kept me pretty warm.The tractor block heater was plugged in over night, it started right up and I plowed out the drives. In for oatmeal and HOT coffee, then back to do normal chores. I used the heated cab of the tractor as a warming shed between cleaning stalls.
It is 11 am now and the temp is just at 0F. Gotta go back after lunch to put more hay out for the hay burners. (horses)

:firstplace: You win! :firstplace: I'd try to beat you but the driveway and street are packed ice and snow...and probably won't thaw 'til March. You whipped me on a sled, too. My best was running 124 mph during -27F temps trying to set a land speed record here in Michigan back in 1971. Was I stupid, or what?
