• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

way off topic Mad Magazine

I used to read this magazine a lot. One of the parodies I remember was a take off on Winken, Blinken, and Nod. I think it was called Melvin, Norman, and Fred. The opening line was
"Melvin, Norman, and Fred one night sailed off in a garbage Scow on a river of slime."...... and that's all I remember. Does anybody else remember this? can post (or PM me) a copy? Thanks.

That was one of my monthly reads way back when. Some good stuff then.

As Alfred E. Newman would say, "what, me worry?"

PS. I don't have a reference for the poem you mentioned.

I still get a Mad for Christmas every year. And stuff one in my son's stocking too.
A friend was an artist and writer there for years before passing. He always made a panel for my son when he was growing up and signed the mag.
