• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You may want to add...

a second battery like Lamont was showing on a post a while back. It might also be a good idea to use a battery tender more often. I'm not using any additional items like heated gloves, seats or coats and I still hook up the tender every ten days. On this schedule it takes about 2 hours of trickle time to get them back to 100%.
NEW TOPIC:

The new large exhaust collector gasket samples still have not arrived. I guess they could be backed up in the mail somewhere but if it isn't here by Monday afternoon mail I will call their rep again. However, he did tell me it would take two weeks to get the evaluation units made and ready for shipping.

UPDATE... on lower gasket...

I just received a call from the manufacturer that said they would make the large exhaust gasket for us. After they reviewed the drawing and pictures to make samples they determined their flat gasket material was too brittle to make this round gasket. However, the manager gave me the name of a OEM manufacturer that makes this type of gasket. I am now trying to talk with the rep there.

Needless to say I am disappointed, but I haven't given up yet. I will say this... this part chase has been one of the longest I have ever been involved in.
