• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Waterproof shades for RT & RS

VaughnCat

RT-S PE#783
This past week during our vacation, we met up with a lot of bikers on the road. A number of them are using covers made by CycleShade.com and they look very convenient to pack and easy to use (not like the bulky BRP covers).

I emailed CycleShade and they recommended for the RT the full cover, and for the RS, the standard shade.

Does any one have any experience using Cycleshade products on a Spyder? :helpsmilie:

Never heard of, but I like what I see. Who's going to take the plunge first, You or Me?:roflblack: :ani29:

Rain just started a couple days ago . . . . so I'm ready to order!
Just wondering if there's any feedback from other Spyderlovers
before I take the plunge.....

Somebody on the forum (Lamont) found a $12 cover about a year ago. I bought two of them (American Eagles W/flag), but don't remember where I got them.

They are small to pack, light, and do a great job.

I went to the site and looked at what they had to offer. The look VERY similar to one I use made by Qwik shade, only about $20 less :gaah:

I love mine. but it is NOT waterproof, and I'd be surprised if these were.
It will keep the dew off as well as the bird doo, and people from sitting on it. But I've found my BRP tank bag wet after a good rain.
I now pull off the tank bag if I want it to remain dry when I know my :spyder: will be parked in a downpour. It's garaged when I'm at home.

I e-mailed them to ask if the would make one similar to the full cover on the Honda Gold Wing. I'll keep you posted.:chat: :ani29:

Sounds like a good idea to stop people sitting on the :spyder2:. The old rule still applies as a two wheeler,,, do not sit on someone's bike.
Was told a story recently about some girls on a hen night seen sitting on a couple of motorbikes and taking photos,, imagine the trouble if one of the bikes had fallen.
Anyway back to covers, the trunk is starting to fill up with other items already to be prepared for raining on myself, one of these covers would have to fold up really small.

I bought the same cover (american eagle w/ flag) for my Spyder. Works good. Get the largest cover they have. I originally bought it to keep people from sitting on it, but works good at keeping the sun off the seat too.

Thanks SpyderGirl. Good to know. :ani29:
