• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

waterproof boots

I sprayed this on my TCX non-waterproof boots. I haven't been wading in them, but it seems to have worked, so far.

SIDI for 15 years

I saw a review in a motorcycle magazine 15 years ago. They put weights in the tested boots to keep them upright in a bathtub with water higher than the ankles. The SIDI was the only boot that passed the test, so I got a pair. When they wore out, I got another pair, and they have never leaked even while riding all day in the rain. Comfortable to walk in, also. I was in some heavy thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon/evening north of Savannah. The boots were absolutely dry. I think the model was something like "on road gore-tex" but I don't see that model listed now.

I see a very similar boot called "all road gore-tex" at Motorcycle superstore listed for $325 to $345.

Danner. Super comfy and can wear them when it's over 100 or as cold in the 20's. Did I mention they were comfy??

WoW!!! For $345 I'll deal with wet feet... I just use tactical boots which you can get at most any tactical gear outlet like http://www.511tactical.com/footwear.html

I like an 8" boot personally.

I actually like my BRP RT Touring boots.

Bob
How comfortable are they and are they truly waterproof.
Heard mixed reviews

At SpyderFest; I wore them all day long...
And mine ARE waterproof! nojoke

Bob, are those the boots you bought at the SF several years ago when the vendor village was at the ball park? I think you said, then, they hurt your feet. How long did it take to break them in?

I have 2 pair of pull on Wolverine boots. Very comfortable, very flexible. One pair is now 4 years old. Still waterproof. Check and order through Zappos. Free shipping both ways. I ordered 5 pair of boots, sent 4 back. Never left the house. Tom :spyder:

If you can find them ( try e-bay ) " Totes " made over-boots ( covers ), that you put on over whatever you were wearing.......Mine are super light, stretch almost double in size WITHOUT TEARING, and will fit over anything. In the summer I don't like wearing heavy boots all the time, but also don't like wet feet. These things can be balled up about the size of a baseball, they are that thin...........I don't think they are made anymore so E-bay may be your only source..............................Mike

I am still on 2 wheels. My wife rides the Spyder. This might be different on 3 wheels. I bought a set of the Sedici boots at Cycle gear. They were very comfortable boots but after 1 season the soles were gone and I had holes. Found a set of BMW boots on closeout 3 years ago for $199 and they are both comfortable and durable. I think I will easily get 5 - 6 years out of the boots.
