• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Water In Radio ... New Service Bulletin

Is there no end to the issues ? :dontknow:

While speaking with my mechanic today regarding the on-going howl noise at 45-50 mph, he mentioned that there's a service bulletin to check for water that may enter the radio module.

Apparently, the water can enter via the (left?) saddlebag, so he will have to take all the tupperware off to perform the check.

The glass is half full ...

Good thing is that he will also have access to the front sprocket area to further investigate where the howl could be coming from.

I think is the left antenna?

Looks like the fix is to place a piece of heat shrink tubing over the antenna lead where it enters the radio.

This procedure will be performed even if you do not have a CB antenna on the left rear of the RT.

I have a 2011 RTS SE5 with the same radio problem. Have a scratchey noise at highway speeds. have been in contact with service manager and he has stated that there is a service bulletin out to fix. I told him I saw it on spyderlovers.som about radio problem. He is on vacation until week of 25 June and then will make appoitment to get fixed. It has taken almost eight months to get it this far as they have not been able to determine the problem. Also, have problem with CB.:banghead:
