There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Wasted my $$ on Cardo Packtalk Bold - just wanted decent sounding Music, but it sounds like ****!

The Cardo JBL speakers sound much better than the Sena Harmon Kardon speakers.

What are you using as a music source (e.g. is the headset paired to the bike, or directly to the phone)? My Cardo Headset sounds terrible paired to the bike, MUCH better when paired just to the phone. You will never get great sound from a motorcycle headset, but the Cardo with the 40mm JBL speakers is as good as I've found. I've tried multiple brands, Sena is way worse.

My Cardo Edge with the 40mm speakers sounds good. I even have the half helmet kit with some speaker pockets from Amazon added with the JBL 45mm separate speakers they sell that sounds good. Nothing I would call amazing, but good. As was previously suggested, try moving the speakers around in the helmet pockets. I bet that's where the problem is, it took some fiddling with mine.
Thanks for the replies. I have tried moving the speakers. Even put them on top of the helmet foam above the speaker pocket to get tight against ears (annoying) didn’t hear any difference!?
I'm connecting directly to the phone, via Sirius, which I can’t find any equalizer to work with; and Apple Music, which does have an equalizer, but it is just pre-made profiles or filters, with no real adjustment.

You didn't mention whether or not you have the upgraded JBL larger speakers or not. Also, if you do, make sure you have the updated JBL profile loaded in the Cardo App to take full advantage of them.

I have a SENA, can't complain as I don't know any difference. The OEM speakers, if turned up, sounded more treble or high notes. So I tried some upgraded speakers that were suggested by a friend. Better, but not great. I finally just went with in ear monitors. Much better, and as a bonus, it knocked out some of the wind noise, etc.

Why don't you try a pair of earphones. I use them hooked into my Sena and it sounds fantastic. My music is loaded on my phone. Phone and Sena are paired to my GPS, so I can control everything from the GPS

I use Plugfones with my Cardo. I wired the earphones through my helmet. They dangle with the helmet off but so what? It's a little awkward sticking them in my ears while putting on the helmet but completely workable. They cut down a bit of noise to protect my aging ears and provide good audio from my phone's Bluetooth connection. I have a pair in my wife's helmet and we can talk clearly to each other while riding. I can still hear the important outside noises as well.

I've tried a few different types of ear buds and haven't found a set yet that blocks out enough windnoise to allow me to hear. I've tried multiple helmets as well with no luck. Having small ear holes isn't a great thing neither, fat head with small earholes is not a good combo LOL.

@Jetfixer: Can you please explain how to get the JBL profile. I've not heard of that and am curious and wanting to keep up with the latest advances. I have the BOLD and the Packtalk. Both sound great, but I don't have another reference, but from the replies here sound like they are the better choice. One thing I did notice right off the bat, the EDGE bluetooth has MUCH better range than BOLD - at least for me.

Have just updated from Pack talk bold to Pro, the increase to 45mm speakers does improve the sound quality bur they are all pricey.
