I personally don't like putting water on my machine! Honda has a bike cleaning product that works very well for me! Just spray and wipe!Just a tip when I was the spyder at home I use a leave blower to remove water from all the little nooks and crannys.
Don't ride in the rain, huh? :dontknow:I personally don't like putting water on my machine!
I find washing any vehicle to be a distasteful chore. I consider it a significant concession to practicality just taking my Spyder to a car wash to clean it off. Super soak, wheel wash, pre-rinse, foam brush, high pressure wash, then high pressure rinse, and I'm done. Paper towels work to dry off my F4 windshield, and my blue jeans dry off the seat quite nicely!! :yes:I guess that I'm too cheap, to pay for using a car wash... :dontknow:
Soap and water at home works just fine for me!
Don't ride in the rain unless I have to! But when I do, I still use the Honda cleaner! Spray n wipe!Don't ride in the rain, huh? :dontknow:
The only time water has caused a problem for me was riding through 1" or 2" of standing water at 30+. Enough got thrown up under the tupperware that the CB radio, not sufficiently water tight from the factory, got wet inside and died.
I use soap and water and elbow grease. Also, I don't use the car wash. I use a chamois cloth to dry off my spyder with.I guess that I'm too cheap, to pay for using a car wash... :dontknow:

If you can control pressure and spray only in a downward motion, like rain, you should be fine. Spraying up under and on controls and instruments with high pressure will lead to problems...microfiber and spray on polish/cleaners work best for me...

That's fair enough: you hate washing them, as much as I hate paying to wash them!
