My 2024 RT Limited is experiencing a problem of stalling while starting.
If starting the engine from cold, it'll fire up fine and idle away no problems. It doesn't stall when driving off. All perfect.
After driving and getting it to temperature, if I stop the engine for under 20 minutes it'll fire up fine and no issues.
The problem is when it's been running for a while and I stop for 45 minutes and then try to start it again. It starts and then immediately stalls. It's as if I just turned off the key. When I press the starter again, it fires up but sounds rough and smells of fuel for a bit and then finally clears itself. It's just that first warm start after being off for more than 45 minutes. Between 20 and 45 minutes it's hit and miss as to if it starts ok or stalls.
I've noticed when the engine is cold, every time I turn the ignition key the fuel pump primes for a few seconds. However, when it's warm, the fuel pump doesn't prime.
Dealer has no idea. He replaced the purge valve and ECM but it's still doing it. So I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar???
