Want my 2015 RTS dull black front wheels shiny.

Has anyone clear coated the front black wheels to make them shiny or would they need to be repainted.

Good question! I'd like to do something to spiff up my front wheels, too. Hadn't thought of simply making them shiny. Great idea and I hope you get some suggestions.

I think the flat black hides the brake dust powder, as well as all the other kinds of road dirt that accumulate down there.

I have wanted to do something with the wheels on my 2016 RTS. I wish someone would design a wrap kit for these wheels
they have them for the F3's and F4's. Nothing wild just tasteful enough to break up the black.ray:

I think what he is looking for is something like the way the black wheels on my 2012 RSS were. They were black, but still shiny. Looked a lot better than the dull black that they are using on the RTS bikes today.

I am currently working on some F3 wheels I got off of ebay for my F3T. I am going to
powder coat them black chrome and clear coat them with clear powder coat. Right now
I'm in the process of striping the old powder coat and getting them ready to start the new
powder coat. I will post some pictures when I start the powder coat process.

No but the wheels were mounted on the wrong sides for the original picpps:

Wraps for wheels

What kind of wrap are you thinking about? Just something to cover the center of the wide spokes? What color? I might have to make a set to see how it looks. I have a vinyl cutter so I can make stickers, etc.

I have 2016 RTS Orbital Blue. I was thinking blue, or silver just on the spokes and maybe around the outer rim.

They could be clearcoated, but will have to be scuffed or sanded so the clear coat sticks, with that being said my opinion would be to throw a coat of black on just in case you sand thru some where. Just to be on the safe side.
