:agree: In fact you don't have to drill a hole in the key, it's already there. All you have to do is clear away the rubber that covers it.

Hasn't bothered mine yet and it's been done since I got it new. I didn't open it up any farther than it took to get a small ring thru it.

However, I only did one key and left the other one stock, just in case. I figured if it failed, I could still get into the trunk with it and get the spare, use the bike, then get a new one from the dealer.

I just stick the key in my pocket. I really have never liked a bunch of keys dangling, especially on any of my motorcycles.
