• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Waiting for warranty info and welcome kit from BRP

Questions

I bought (and paid for) my 2014 RT-S in March of this year. I have not as yet received any info or warranty card from BRP.
Are they always this slow with paperwork. It's now Dec.
Anyone else have this problem.

As I recall, ours took a while also, but not near as long as you mentioned for yourself.

I do recall the wife trying to get the extended warranty, both from BRP and RPM squared away and possibly this moved things faster.

Regardless, I would give BRP a call and ask.

I called BRP just this week to inquire if I was due any additional paperwork directly from them concerning the recent purchase of my Spyder. I was told that right now, no, but when I bought the extended warranty, BEST, I would get follow up information from them. I still have a long time to shop for price on extended warranty.

Waiting on warranty paperwork

I called BRP and gave then the VIN number on my bike.
I'm not even in their system. What's up with that.

That sounds and appears more dealer related.

Dealers can be a huge PIA on these Spyders. Some are great, some are not so great. Certainly this will be resolved. Just make take a few calls and some time.

I got my warrenty and roadside information on my spyder about 2 weeks after it was delivered to my house. I got a letter that stated that I was covered for 4 years and a note to keep this with my spyder at all times. I placed it in the owner pack, and it is now a permanent feature. I hope this is what you guys are talking about, it is all that I have anyway.

:agree: The dealer didn't input the info... This delay falls into THEIR lap. :gaah:

I purchased my 2014 RTS in October and got my warranty card/info in November  No welcome kit but I thought they stopped that anyway.I think everything you get from BRP has direct effect on how fast your dealer does this paperwork telling BRP they sold a Spyder to you.

Sadly..!!

a lot has to do with the dealer and how efficient they handle the paperwork...warranty (at least factory) I was told is tied to the vin# and I never got any papers on that. The welcome packet varies a lot. Between the two, dealer and brp, its a turkey shoot...

I am guessing most of the time lag has to do with dealer input. I have waited between 2 weeks and 6 months on my various :spyder2: purchases. The most recent, 2014, was two weeks.

I Bought a 2014RTS-SE6 on July 30th, and got my warranty card first, then I got my BRP "Welcome to BRP Family Packet in Sept. I did not have any problems.

I took delivery of my RT on Nov 15 and had my Best warranty card in the mail on Nov17. In all fairness I had signed the papers on 10-27 and express mailed them to the dealer. No Welcome packet yet though.
