There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. VSS Error / Limp Mode......Help!?!?!?

Hi All.....I have a VSS Fault Error/DPS error/Limp Mode on my '08 GS after I installed a brake light flasher module & LED 1157 bulbs. It was not a plug-n-play module so I had to tie into the two brake light wires. I wouldn't think that installing this would affect the VSS/DPS/Limp errors. Does anyone have any ideas? I've checked all my fuses and charged the battery overnight as I had a similar problem before when my battery wasn't outputting enough, so I thought that was the same issue.....Thanks in advance

If you change the resistance, or other measured parameter, Nanny WILL see a fault. it is quite sensitive.

Look at the diagrams from ESI's system - might lead you to your error.

If you turn the key on and off 3 times without starting the Spyder, that should clear the codes. Then start it and see if they come back. If they do then it is likely the modulator you are using.

When I had the ESI Wake Up Brake Modulator installed on my Spyder it didn't throw any codes, but would only work intermittently. Sometimes it would flash the brake lights like it was supposed to, and other times it would not flash them at all. Evan looked into the situation and thought it had something to do with the length of time it takes for the Spyder to discharge the electrical pulse, and that a different capacitor was going to have to be used in the unit. It took them a while to create that unit as they found the Spyder electrical system is not like a regular motorcycle and the standard unit would not work.

Best of luck getting the issue sorted out.
