• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Vredestein tire sizes from their web site

Do you lean towards one size over the other?

Don't over think this. I like the 175's because I like the look of wide tires (which is purely cosmetic). Functionally, the difference isn't going to be all that much. The lower profile of the 175 is slightly better for cornering. But the 165's give you lower rolling resistance which means slightly better fuel mileage. If you like the look of wider tires, go with the 175. If you want a bit better ride and fuel mileage, go with the 165.

So I have a 2015 F3. Looking for new tires and trying to find Vredestein Quatrac. I just want to make sure on sizes. Front I will want 175/55/15 and the rear I will want 205/60/15. Is that correct sizing for those tires. Also, if I cannot find the Vredestein here in Newfoundland Canada, what do you think of the Kenda KR20 Kanine?

Yes, for Vredestein's, these will work fine. I don't think you can beat the Vredestein Quatrac for wet conditions on the Spyder. There are better tires out there. But they won't fit our Spyders so it's a moot point.

As for the Kenda Kanine, I just put one on my Spyder. I haven't ridden it yet but plan to do about 300 miles on it soon.

I do like the concept and I've got several customers who love them. I have heard others say they don't like the Kanine but I've not spoken to them personally. Just read about it. My first impression is that I'm going to like that rear tire. The only thing I don't know is longevity and if they will wear in the middle as the OEM's do. I've heard reports from both directions on that account.

I can’t fault my Kanine on the rear (I have Goodyears on the front). It is lasting well, and handles well. I would rather have an aftermarket on the rear, but the Kanine makes it so much easier when you don’t want to (or can’t) replace your rear tyre yourself. It has NO downsides for me.

I run the Vredestein Quatrac 175/55/15 that you and your crew installed, and they stick to the road like glue. They absolutely look excellent as well.
I doubt I will ever go to a different tire or size.

I'm missing something here.
I am going to order a new set of tires, probably from tire rack and I plan on ordering Vredstein again as I had good luck with them on other Spyders. I find the front size that I had before, 165/60R15 but am missing the rear. If I remember right, it was a 215/60R15. Have they discontinued this size or am I remembering wrong? I would like to use one brand for all 3.
BTW, I am fitting these on a '16 RTL.

My Q5 fronts, which are no longer available, have over 40,000 miles on them and still going strong. My first Q5 rear got 27,300 miles on it and I replaced it for a long trip. My current Quadrac has over 15,000 miles on it and plenty of life. 175/55R-15 fronts - 205/65R-15 rear. I have had them on paved roads, dry and monsoons, dirt, gravel, snow, and a little ice - no complaints at all.
